Altria Earnings: Decent 2024 Results and 2025 Outlook Overshadowed by Unfavorable Patent Ruling

Altria's 2024 adjusted earnings per share grew 3.4% to $5.12, within guidance of 2.5%-4%. Management expects 2025 adjusted EPS growth of 2%-5%, in line with our prerelease forecast of 2.5%. However, shares were down more than 2% on Jan. 30 after an unfavorable patent ruling for Altria's Njoy vapes.
