Sysco Earnings: Weakening Consumer Confidence Threatens Near Term, but Shares Look Undervalued

Sysco reported fiscal third-quarter results that reflected a marked deterioration in out-of-home dining demand. Sales were up 1% over the prior year, a deceleration from the second quarter's 4.4% rise. Much of the weakness came in US food service, which saw volume fall 2%.
