DuPont Plans To Spin Off Its Electronics Business, Qnity, in 2025 and Divest Aramids in Early 2026

DuPont de Nemours is a world-renowned specialty chemicals company with a history spanning over 200 years and an ever-evolving portfolio. In the current iteration, DuPont is the specialty chemicals company created in 2019 from the DowDuPont merger and subsequent separations. However, by the end of 2025, DuPont plans to spin off its electronics business, which will be named Qnity. The company will also sell its aramid fibers business, which contains the legacy Kevlar and Nomex materials, to private equity-owned Arclin in a deal that should close in early 2026.
