Dow's third-quarter results reflected a continued cyclical bottom amid weak end-market demand as sales declined across all segments versus the prior-year quarter. Yet, Dow shares rallied 12% at the time of writing on Oct. 23, driven by falling unit costs and improved cash flow generation.
