Yield to Maturity

Yield to maturity, or YTM, represents the holding-weighted average yield of all applicable securities within a portfolio and serves as a measure of the expected rate of return. The calculation reflects market prices, par value, coupon rate, and time to maturity. It assumes that all coupon payments are reinvested at the same rate and ignores the impact of embedded options such as call or put features.
