Newsweek honor recognizes the top 100 U.S. mid-market companies based on a data-driven evaluation of overall performance as businesses and employers

Comstock Holding Companies, Inc. The ranking, developed by Newsweek in partnership with Plant A Insights Group, recognizes the top 100 publicly listed U.S. companies with fiscal year 2025 revenue between $10 million and $75 million that demonstrate excellence across four pillars: financial strength and market performance, workforce performance, innovation and environmental sustainability.

Approximately 4,300 companies were initially reviewed, of which 400 met the eligibility and data requirements for full evaluation. The comprehensive analysis of each company across the four performance categories was supplemented by a qualitative validation review that included a thorough screening of public records and media coverage from the past 24 months to ensure the integrity and real-world relevance of the rankings. Honorees were selected through independent research and unbiased data analysis, and no applications or payments were accepted for inclusion.
