Asahi Group Hit by Cyberattack; Shipments Suspended in Japan

Asahi Group Holdings said it was hit by a cyberattack, leading to the suspension of shipments in Japan.

The Japanese maker of beer, beverages and other food products suffered a system failure caused by the cyberattack, affecting operations in the country, it said Monday.

Asahi said order and shipment operations and call-center operations were suspended due to the system failure.

The Japanese company said there was no confirmed leak of personal information or customer data to external parties.

Asahi said it was investigating the cause and working to restore operations.
