AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo's Datroway Shows Meaningful Improvement for Breast Cancer Patients
By Adam Whittaker
AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo's Datroway drug showed statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement for patients with breast cancer in late-stage trials, the companies said.
The drug was tested on patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer for whom immunotherapy wasn't an option, the companies said.
The data showed it delivered a clinically meaningful improvement for both progression-free survival and overall survival.
The safety profile was consistent with previous clinical trials of Datroway in treating breast cancer, the companies said. The data will be presented at an upcoming medical meeting and shared with regulatory authorities, they add.
Datroway is also used to treat lung cancer.
