Northrop Grumman Partners With Apex on Space Interceptors

By Nicholas G. Miller

Northrop Grumman is partnering with satellite manufacturer Apex on its space-based missile interceptor program.

Northrop Grumman will fund the demonstration of space-based interceptor systems for the U.S. government's prize competition.

The company has completed ground tests this year and said it is on track for on-orbit capability in 2027.

"We're combining our advanced missile defense technologies and commercial partnerships to demonstrate next-generation space-based interceptor capabilities in support of our nation's Golden Dome priorities," said Ryan Tintner, the vice president of Northrop Grumman's space superiority systems division.
