Palladyne AI Wins Two U.S. Army Contracts for SwarmOS, Gremlin-X Testing

Palladyne AI secured two U.S. Army contracts to advance and test its autonomous swarm-control software and reusable mini-bomber drones.
The defense and industrial technology company on Wednesday said that it was awarded contracts to research, develop, and operationally validate SwarmOS and Gremlin-X with U.S. Army warfighter.
Palladyne said that it was competitively selected under the Army's Disruptive Applications Broad Agency announcement.
SwarmOS is Palladyne's software that lets a single operator control unmanned systems from multiple manufacturers without relying on centralized communications.
The U.S. Army will also evaluate Gremlin-X, which is the company's low-cost, reusable strike drone that can deliver munitions in degraded and denied communications environments.
As part of the contract, Palladyne will test SwarmOS and Gremlin-X across a series of U.S. Army exercise in Colorado and California which will be used to evaluate its uses in broader military operations.
