TSMC to Raise Chip-Making Prices by Up to 10% From 2027, Nikkei Reports, Citing Sources
--Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. plans to raise prices for both advanced and legacy chip orders by up to 10% in 2027, Nikkei reports, citing unnamed sources.
--The planned price hike is driven by rising costs for materials, manufacturing equipment and construction of new overseas chip plants, according to the report.
--TSMC told Nikkei that it doesn't comment on pricing, adding that its pricing strategy is strategic, not opportunistic, and that it continues to work closely with customers.
