Verizon CEO to Stay For At Least Another Year
By Connor Hart
Verizon Communications reached a deal with its chief executive, Daniel Schulman, extending his tenure in the company's top role by a year.
The mobile carrier on Friday said Schulman's employment pact, which had been through the end of next year, will now remain in place through Dec. 31, 2028.
The pact will be subject to annual one-year extensions after 2028, unless either party gives the other at least 90-days notice of non-extension, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In 2028, Schulman will receive an annual base salary and a target annual incentive opportunity at least equal to those received during his initial term. He also will receive a long-term incentive award with a target value of at least $25 million, granted during the first three months of 2027, the filing said.
Schulman received total compensation of about $34.3 million in 2025, comprising an annual salary of $375,000 as well as stock awards worth $32.8 million, according to Verizon's most-recent proxy filed with the SEC.
