Marsh McLennan Agency to Acquire Accel Holdings

By Grace Yoon

Marsh McLennan Agency, a subsidiary of Marsh and a business insurance provider, said it would acquire Accel Holdings, an independent insurance and advisory firm.

The terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Marsh McLennan Agency Chief Executive David Eslick said the company would be able to deliver more value to business and agricultural organizations that count on Accel and need integrated solutions to grow.

The acquisition is expected to close in the company's third quarter.

The purchase comes after Marsh posted higher revenue in its second quarter, as risk and insurance revenue contributed to growth.
