JPMorgan, Qatar Investment Authority Announce $20 Billion Partnership — Update
By Connor Hart
JPMorgan Chase will team up with Qatar Investment Authority to invest $20 billion across both private and public markets.
The strategic partnership will see $15 billion invested across public equities and $5 billion invested across private markets, JPMorgan Asset Management and Qatar Investment Authority said Monday.
In public markets, JPMorgan will manage customized global equity portfolios that support Qatar Investment Authority's long-term investment objectives. And in private markets, the organizations will provide senior financing to middle-market companies in the U.S., focusing on sectors such as industrials, services, healthcare and technology.
The partnership was described as "a mutually beneficial framework," bringing together JPMorgan's investment capabilities with Qatar's long-term institutional perspective. The collaboration will position both organizations to capitalize on global investment opportunities and deliver long-term value, they said.
