The investment seeks to provide maximum long-term total return. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in fixed income securities and other debt instruments. Fixed income securities and other debt instruments include corporate bonds, including high yield bonds, commercial paper, debt securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government and its agencies and instrumentalities, TIPS, municipal bonds, bank loans, loan participations and assignments,mortgage- and asset-backed securities,fixed-income structured products and convertible securities.
