Effective Aug. 20, 2026, Allspring named Michael Smith as a portfolio manager on Allspring Diversified Capital Builder alongside longtime managers Margie Patel and Robert Junkin. Smith is a noteworthy addition, as he brings 27 years of industry experience to the effort and currently leads the growth equity team at Allspring. While the enhancement to the team’s resources is positive, more time is needed to assess Smith’s impact on the strategy. As a result, the strategy’s Average People and Process ratings remain unchanged.
