Strategy

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital and, secondarily, current income. The fund will invest, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in common stocks of companies which pay dividends, and in other instruments that have economic characteristics similar to such securities. The fund may invest up to 25% of its net assets in securities of foreign issuers.
