Strategy

The investment seeks superior total rate of return, with an emphasis on current income, by investing in fixed income instruments. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in fixed income securities. It may invest up to 25% of its total assets in securities that are not denominated in U.S. dollars including, but not limited to, corporate obligations, government and agency issues, private placement bonds, convertible bonds, and mortgage-backed and other asset-backed securities, including collateralized bond and loan obligations.
