Revolution Medicines Rises as FDA Grants Priority Designation for Cancer Treatment

By Kelly Cloonan

Shares of Revolution Medicines gained after the Food and Drug Administration granted a priority voucher to speed up the development and review of the company's cancer treatment.

The stock rose 8.9% to $54.09 on Friday. Shares are up 24% this year.

The clinical oncology company said its daraxonrasib inhibitor received one of the first vouchers under the Commissioner's National Priority Voucher pilot program.

The program, announced in June, aims to accelerate the development and review of certain drugs that are aligned with U.S. national health priorities.

Daraxonrasib is being studied in two Phase 3 trials in patients with previously treated metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and with previously treated metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
