Deutsche Telekom Nudges Up Guidance Again, Raises Dividend as U.S. Unit Boosts Growth

By Najat Kantouar

Deutsche Telekom lifted its 2025 guidance again to reflect the consolidation of its recent UScellular acquisition, and said it plans to increase its dividend as it reported higher revenue for the third quarter.

The German telecommunications company said Thursday that it now expects full-year adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization after leases of around 45.3 billion euros ($52.52 billion), compared with previous guidance of more than 45.0 billion euros. It anticipates free cash flow after leases of around 20.1 billion euros instead of more than 20.0 billion euros.

This was the third time Deutsche Telekom raised its guidance this year.

The group also plans to increase its dividend for 2025 to 1 euro a share, up from the 90 European cents it paid for 2024, and to launch a share buyback of up to 2 billion euros in 2026.

For the third quarter, adjusted Ebitda after leases--a closely watched profitability metric in the industry--was up 0.2% on year at 11.115 billion euros.

Net revenue rose to 28.935 billion euros from 28.50 billion euros, driven by growth in its U.S. unit T-Mobile US.

Group service revenue grew 2.2%, while net profit fell 18% to 2.43 billion euros.
