FDA Clears Amneal Epinephrine Injection

Amneal said that the Food and Drug Administration has approved its epinephrine injection in both single and multi-dose vials for hospitals.

The Bridgewater, NJ-based biopharmaceutical company said Tuesday the product is intended for emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, and to increase blood pressure in adults with septic shock.

Epinephrine, which is a drug that activates alpha and beta adrenergic receptors, is used by hospitals for emergency and perioperative patient care.

U.S. annual sales for epinephrine injection single- and multi-dose vials were around $118 million for the 12 months ending October 2025, according to healthcare research firm IQVIA,
