CACI International to Buy ARKA Group From Blackstone for $2.6 Billion

By Colin Kellaher

CACI International has struck a deal to buy aerospace and defense technologies company ARKA Group from asset manager Blackstone for $2.6 billion in cash in a deal that bolsters the national-security company's space strategy.

CACI on Monday said ARKA, based in Danbury, Conn., supports national-security missions through its space-based sensor portfolio and ground-based software processing.

CACI said it expects to realize a tax benefit with a present value of $225 million as a result of the transaction, which is slated to close by the end of June 2026.

The Reston, Va., company said it plans to fund the deal with cash on hand, borrowings under its revolving credit facility and debt financing, adding that it has inked a commitment letter under which Wells Fargo will provide up to $1.3 billion in senior secured bridge loan facility.

New York-based Blackstone first invested in ARKA in 2019 through its Blackstone Tactical Opportunities strategy, which invests across asset classes, industries and geographies and has $34 billion in assets under management.
