SoftBank Group in Talks to Buy Data Center Investment Firm, Sources Tell Bloomberg

--SoftBank Group is nearing a deal to acquire DigitalBridge Group, a private-equity firm that invests in assets such as data centers, Bloomberg reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

--Terms of the deal, which could be announced as soon as Monday, couldn't be learned, the report said. The talks come as the Japanese conglomerate has sought to take advantage of an AI-driven boom in digital infrastructure, according to Bloomberg.

--Representatives for SoftBank and DigitalBridge declined to comment to Bloomberg.
