By Cristina Gallardo
Daimler Truck and Arquus, a company belonging to John Cockerill, said they will supply 7,000 trucks to the French Army over more than 10 years.
The two companies said Thursday that they had been awarded a contract by the French Ministry of Armed Forces. They didn't disclose financial details.
The vehicles, showcased for the first time in October 2025, will be produced and delivered over more than 10 years, they said.
Ulrich Loebich, chief executive of Daimler Truck France, said that with this contract, the group is expanding its presence in France, where it currently supports around 5,500 direct and indirect jobs.
