Adnoc Gas Reports Record Profit Despite Fall in Prices

By Adam Whittaker

Adnoc Gas reported record full-year profit despite a fall in prices as its domestic gas unit delivered double-digit earnings growth.

The Abu Dhabi-owned gas company said Monday that net profit for 2025 rose 3% on year to $5.17 billion. Earnings rose despite a 14% fall in average Brent crude oil prices.

Oil and gas companies are facing a challenging pricing outlook as demand growth is stunted and supply remains high.

The company said its domestic gas unit helped drive profit growth. The division's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization grew 10% on sales volume growth and improved commercial terms.

Fourth-quarter net income was $1.17 billion compared with $1.38 billion in the same period a year earlier.

Adnoc Gas said it expects to take final investment decisions on phases two and three of the Rich Gas Development project, aimed at increasing output and improving efficiency, in the first quarter.

Adnoc Gas confirmed its full-year dividend payout of $3.584 billion. It paid an interim cash dividend of $1.792 billion in September, a quarterly dividend of $896 million in December, and expects a final dividend of $896 million to be paid in April of this year.
