RELX Pretax Profit, Revenue Rise

By Najat Kantouar

RELX reported higher pretax profit and revenue for 2025, driven by growth across its key segments and said it expects to see positive momentum across the group for the year ahead.

The information-and-analytics group said Thursday that pretax profit for the year rose to 2.75 billion pounds ($3.75 billion) from 2.56 billion pounds for the same period a year earlier.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization increased to 3.85 billion pounds from 3.72 billion pounds. Meanwhile, revenue rose to 9.59 billion pounds from 9.43 billion pounds.

Analysts polled by Visible Alpha had forecast revenue of 9.65 billion pounds.

The board declared a dividend of 67.5 pence a share, up 7% from 63 pence a share a year earlier.

"The continued evolution of artificial intelligence is enabling us to add more value to our customers, as we embed additional functionality in our products, and to develop and launch products at a faster pace, while continuing to manage cost growth below revenue growth," Chief executive Erik Engstrom said.

For 2026, RELX expects strong underlying growth in revenue and adjusted operating profit. It also anticipates solid growth in adjusted earnings per share on a constant currency basis.
