Iberdrola's Net Profit Rises, Reiterates Guidance

Iberdrola said net profit rose in 2025, and reiterated its guidance for the year ahead.

The Spanish energy company on Wednesday said 2025 net profit rose to 6.285 billion euros ($7.40 billion) from 5.61 billion euros the year prior. On an adjusted basis, the metric rose 10% to 6.23 billion euros.

Reported revenue rose to 45.55 billion euros from 44.74 billion euros in 2024, compared with the 46.4 billion euros analysts had expected, according to a consensus taken from FactSet.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization fell to 16.59 billion euros from 16.85 billion euros the year before. Stripping out exceptional and other one-off items, Ebitda rose 3.1% to 15.68 billion euros.

The company said its performance driven by a strong operating performance of its networks business.

The energy company expects adjusted net profit to rise to 6.6 billion euros this year.

The board declared a supplementary dividend of 0.427 European cents, taking the total for the year to 0.680 European cents, a 6.3% rise on the year prior.
