By Anthony O. Goriainoff

London Gatwick Airport said pretax profit fell in 2025 on a decline in passenger numbers.

The airport, which is managed by France's Vinci Airports, said passenger numbers for the year fell 1.1% to 42.8 million as short-haul flights were hit by issues with aircraft availability .

Pretax profit fell to 422.9 million pounds ($567.4 million) from 456.4 million pounds in 2024. Revenue was largely flat at 1.13 billion pounds.

Gatwick said growth in 2026 will be underpinned by the debut of seven new airlines, new services, as well as an increase in frequency and routes.
