Heidelberg Materials Plans Higher Dividend
By Nina Kienle
Heidelberg Materials said it intends to significantly increase its dividend this year.
The German building materials group on Thursday said it would propose a dividend of 3.60 euros ($4.16) a share at the annual general meeting in May. This corresponds to a 9% increase on the prior year's dividend.
The group also said that it will start the third tranche of its share buyback program of around 450 million euros immediately after the meeting, and will increase the return to shareholders by 10% compared with the previous year.
Heidelberg Materials launched the share buyback in February 2024, with a total amount of up to 1.2 billion euros by the end of this year.
