Siemens Energy Upgrades 2026 Outlook After Rise in Quarterly Net Profit, Revenue
By Cristina Gallardo
Siemens Energy raised its outlook for fiscal 2026 after posting an increase in second-quarter net profit and revenue.
The German maker of energy equipment said Thursday that it now expects comparable revenue growth of between 14% and 16% for the year ending Sept. 30, up from a previous estimate of between 11% and 13%.
The company's profit margin before special items should range between 10% and 12% for the fiscal year, versus a previous estimate of between 9% and 11%, it said.
Net income for the year should be around 4 billion euros ($4.68 billion), up from a previous expectation of between 3 billion and 4 billion euros, Siemens Energy said.
The upgraded guidance comes after the German group posted preliminary figures for its second quarter, in which net profit came at 1.11 billion euros, up from 615 million euros in the same period of the prior year.
Second-quarter revenue rose to 10.29 billion euros from 9.96 billion euros a year earlier, but was below a consensus estimate of 10.8 billion euros provided by FactSet.
