Mercury Systems Gets Biggest-Ever Order for Computer Servers

By Dean Seal

Mercury Systems said it has received its largest-ever single order for its highly secure rackmount servers from defense-industry distributor Blue Raven.

The maker of electronic subsystems and components said Thursday that it has entered into a multi-year contract to deliver to Blue Raven 1,000 of its RTBX06 BuiltSECURE servers.

The financial terms of the contract weren't disclosed.

Mercury said it has been expanding production, adding automation and consolidating its operational footprint to meet growing demand for products aligned with the priorities of the Defense Department.

The RTBX06 BuiltSECURE servers are used to process huge amounts of battlefield data while guarding against local and remote attacks.

As part of this latest deal, Mercury will produce and configure the servers. Blue Raven will resell them and distribute them globally.

Mercury shares rose 2.4% to $110.74 after hours.
