Transurban Agrees to Sell Remaining Stake in Montreal's A25 To La Caisse For $200 Million

By Rhiannon Hoyle

Transurban said Monday that it has agreed to sell its remaining 50% stake in the A25 concession in Montreal to Canadian pension-fund manager Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec for 280 million Canadian dollars, equivalent to US$200 million.

The deal gives full ownership of the asset to the Canadian investor, known as La Caisse, which in 2023 bought a 50% stake in the asset from Transurban for C$355 million.

Transurban said it expects the deal to close by the end of June and that it intends to use the proceeds to support other North America growth initiatives, including in the greater Washington area.
