WiseTech Says It Is Not Aware of Reported Investigation Into Executive Chair

By Stuart Condie

SYDNEY--Logistics-software provider WiseTech Global said its executive chair has given assurances about his conduct after an Australian newspaper alleged he was being investigated by police.

Sydney-based WiseTech on Tuesday acknowledged a report by The Australian Financial Review that Richard White, who is also the company's co-founder and largest shareholder, is being investigated by the federal police's human exploitation taskforce.

"The company is not aware of any investigation as outlined in the article," WiseTech said in a market filing.

"The executive chair has provided assurance to the board that he is not aware of any such investigation and also confirmed that he emphatically and unequivocally denies any involvement in or with human trafficking."

On Monday, WiseTech shares shed 18% to close at 30.08 Australian dollars, equivalent to US$21.03. The stock, which peaked at about A$140 in November 2024, had not closed at such a low level since June 2021.
