UniCredit Nearly Secures Majority Control in Commerzbank

UniCredit said it increased its voting rights in Commerzbank but fell short of securing a majority share of the German bank.

The second offer period saw valid acceptances representing a 47.59% stake in Commerzbank. This translates to 49.65% of voting shares.

UniCredit's stake in Commerzbank was 42.5% after the close of the initial offer period in June.
