CACI Wins Up to $113 Million U.S. Navy Technology Contract
By Anvee Bhutani
CACI International said Thursday it was awarded a five-year contract worth up to $113 million to continue modernizing the U.S. Navy Military Sealift Command's business systems.
The Reston, Va.-based defense contractor said it will provide program management, engineering, software development, cloud computing and cybersecurity services to support the Military Sealift Command's portfolio of mission-critical business applications.
The company said the work will support systems used by both shore-based personnel and the command's global fleet of government-owned vessels.
CACI said the contract includes integrating artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and automation technologies to improve operations, reduce downtime and enhance decision-making across the Military Sealift Command.
The Military Sealift Command operates about 140 civilian-crewed ships that replenish Navy vessels, transport military cargo and supplies, and support deployed U.S. and allied forces worldwide.
