Forte Biosciences Shares Leap Premarket on Takeover by Argenx

Shares of Forte Biosciences surged higher in premarket trading Monday after the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company agreed to be acquired by immunology company argenx for about $2.2 billion.
Argenx is paying $77 a share in cash for Forte, a roughly 41% premium to Friday's closing price of $54.78 for the Dallas company.
Forte shares were recently up 39% to $76.10 in premarket trading.
The deal is slated to close in the third quarter.
