Rheinmetall Wins U.K. Contract for Howitzer Weapon Systems

Rheinmetall said it would supply weapon systems for the British Army's RCH 155 wheeled howitzers under a contract with a value in the low three-digit million-euro range.

The German arms maker said Friday that its joint venture with KNDS, Artec, makes the RCH 155 wheeled howitzer and got a U.K. order for 72 units in May.

The joint-venture shareholders act as subcontractors and Rheinmetall will supply elevating masses and on-board tools and provide services as part of the contract, it said.
