By Sarah Sloat

DHL agreed to buy Open Market, a logistics and transport operator active in the life sciences and consumer sectors in Colombia, in a move to strengthen its footprint in the region.

Financial details weren't disclosed. Open Market has a team of around 4,100 employees, DHL said Tuesday.

The German logistics company said the acquisition supports its goal to grow in the life sciences and healthcare logistics sectors by 2030.

Open Market has a network of 21 warehouses and expertise in managing complex supply chains for pharmaceuticals, medical products and personal care, DHL said.
