By Stephen Nakrosis

Thatch, provider of a health-benefits platform, said it raised $108 million in a Series C financing round at a valuation of $1 billion.

Thatch said the round saw participation from The General Partnership, Index Ventures, General Catalyst and Andreessen Horowitz, along with new strategic investors Eli Lilly and Paychex, among others.

Thatch said its platform enables companies to give employees a tax-free budget to buy their own medical plan and pay for health services.

Revenue has increased almost sevenfold in the past year, the company added.

The company numbers Avis, Five Guys, Orkin, and ADP among its 5,000-plus customers.
