McDonald's Boosts Quarterly Dividend, Joins 'Dividend Kings'
By Elias Schisgall
McDonald's is boosting its quarterly dividend by 3.8% to $1.93 a share, marking the company's 50th consecutive annual dividend increase.
The increase, from $1.86 a share, means the restaurant chain joins the "Dividend Kings," a group of public companies that have raised their dividends annually for at least half a century.
The new payout, equal to $7.72 a year, represents a 3.1% annual yield based on the company's Thursday closing price of $248.48.
The dividend is payable Dec. 15 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 1.
