Nestle Weighs Options for Russia Unit After Moscow Puts It Under Administration
By Adria Calatayud
Nestle said it is assessing its options regarding its Russian unit after a Russian presidential decree placed the business under temporary external administration.
"Nestle is committed to taking all necessary steps to protect its rights and ensure continuity of business operations in the interests of all stakeholders, particularly its employees," the company said Friday.
The Swiss food giant maintained a presence in Russia after Moscow started its war on Ukraine in 2022, but moved to scale back its operations there. Nestle had six factories in Russia in 2025, according to its latest annual report.
