Siemens Energy to Buy Back Up to $2.29 Billion in Shares

Siemens Energy said it would proceed with a share buyback of up to 2 billion euros ($2.29 billion).

The German maker of energy equipment said the buyback would start on Sept. 24 and stretch until the end of March next year at the latest.

The company said it approved the buyback in connection with share-based remuneration programs and employee stock programs and to cancel acquired shares.
