Nestle Names New General Counsel
By Joshua Kirby
Nestle said it appointed a new general counsel, with the incumbent to retire after seven years in the position.
Manuela Bernasconi, a company veteran and currently general counsel for the food giant's Americas zone, will take over the executive-board position at group level at the start of next year, Nestle said Thursday.
Current general counsel Leanne Geale, in place since 2019, will retire, the company said.
Bernasconi "combines deep legal expertise with a strong understanding of our company," Nestle Chief Executive Philipp Navratil said. "She is a trusted adviser with a proven ability to navigate complex legal, regulatory and compliance matters."
