Circle CFO Fox-Geen to Step Down by End of Year — Update

By Elias Schisgall

Circle Internet Group Chief Financial Officer Jeremy Fox-Geen is stepping down by the end of the year.

The cryptocurrency company said Friday that Fox-Geen plans to depart after more than five years in the position. He will stay on through the end of December unless a successor is appointed before then.

Circle said it had engaged a search firm and initiated a search for a new CFO.

"Having achieved many milestones, it is now the right time for me to step down and take a break before my next chapter," Fox-Geen said.

Shares of Circle fell 2.5% to $86.78 in after-hours trading on Friday. The stock closed down 4.1% at $89.00, and is up 12% this year.
