The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities with small market capitalizations. The fund typically invests in U.S. exchange-listed equity securities, consisting of common stocks, preferred stocks, real estate investment trusts ("REITs"), sponsored and unsponsored American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs") and exchange-traded funds ("ETFs").
